On 27 March 2007 a Pan Africanist named Toyin Agbetu challenged the British Government, Monarchy and Church as they gathered to hold a religious celebration for the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act in Westminster Abbey, England. Toyin, who condemned the service as an insult and disgrace, halted the proceedings with words that gave a voice to the collective view of millions around the world. As Maafa truths were revealed he was demonised and misrepresented in the British media as a ‘lone madman’. Margaret Thatcher - The Long Walk to Finchley, subtitled in the initial credits How Maggie Might Have Done It, is a 2008 BBC Four television drama based on the early political career of the young Margaret Thatcher, from her attempts to gain a seat in Dartford in 1949 via invasion to her first successful campaign to win a parliamentary seat, Finchley, in 1959. It also portrays her early relationship and marriage with Denis Thatcher. It is directed by Niall MacCormick and written by Tony Saint - it was made by Great Meadows Productions. Thatcher is played by Andrea Riseborough, Denis by Rory Kinnear, and Edward Heath by Samuel West. It was followed in February 2009 by Margaret, a drama on Thatcher's fall from power filmed in 2008-09, with Thatcher played by Lindsay Duncan.
Walk the Plank is a South African television gameshow produced for the South African Broadcasting Corporation in 2005. It was hosted by Rutendo Matinyarare. A crossover of Survivor and traditional quiz shows but with a voiceover and puzzle games and costumes. Six contestants work in two teams and have to complete games such as life-sized Jenga, as well as throwing spears at targets to reveal clues, which they then have to use to solve other puzzles. The game consists of 4 rounds: ⁕General knowledge. ⁕Physical. ⁕Outdoor. ⁕Relay - consisting of 3 tasks each performed by a different team member. The first show aired on 3 August 2005. The set weighs 70 tons. After 1 September 2005, the show was moved from its prime time slot at 1930 on Wednesdays to 1100 on Sundays, because of poor ratings.
